Ingredients

4 brioche buns

1 large tomato sliced

1 head of romaine lettuce

4 chicken thighs

2 cups buttermilk

1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

1 tsp paprika

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 large egg

2 tbsp water

2 cups panko breadcrumbs

Salt to taste

Pepper to taste

Non-stick cooking spray


Optional Toppings:

Hot Sauce




Preparation

  1. In a freezer bag, add buttermilk, cayenne pepper, paprika and chicken thighs. Zip lock freezer bag shut, releasing any air and massage mixture into chicken thighs. Marinate for at least 4 hours (overnight for best results)

  2. In three separate bowls, add flour to one bowl, egg and water to another bowl and panko breadcrumbs to the last bowl. While prepping your chicken, preheat air fryer at 400°

  3. Season marinated chicken with salt and pepper. Coat chicken in flour, then egg mixture and lastly panko breadcrumbs. Spray air fryer basket nonstock cooking spray and move chicken to basket

  4. Air fry for about 20 minutes (flip after 10 minutes)

  5. Assemble your sandwich - add chicken to brioche bun, top with lettuce, tomato, hot sauce and ranch
