Ingredients
Sauce:
2 tbsp olive oil
2 garlic cloves minced
2 tbsp ginger minced
2 tbsp less sodium soy sauce
2 tbsp tamari
2 tbsp brown sugar
Chili crisp, for heat
The Rest:
1.2 lbs skirt steak sliced
2 tbsp cornstarch
1 head broccoli florets
1 tbsp olive oil
Kosher salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
Scallion, for garnish
Preparation
Slice your steak into thin strips* and add to a bowl with cornstarch. Mix well and set to the side
Set a large pan to medium / medium high heat with 1 tbsp olive oil, kosher salt and red pepper flakes (for heat). Once oil is hot, add broccoli and cook until about 80% cooked (about 5 - 6 minutes). Set to the side
In the same pan, prepare sauce - add 2 tbsp olive oil, garlic, ginger, soy sauce and brown sugar to the pan. Bring to a bubble, reduce heat and cook until sauce reduces, stirring frequently. Set sauce aside
Add steak strips to the same pan pan, cooking for about 5 - 6 minutes, flipping halfway until fully cooked. Add broccoli and sauce back to the pan and mix well. Top with sesame seeds and scallion
*NOTE - Helpful Hint: When slicing steak, it will be easier to slice when you put the steak in the freezer for 30 minutes prior before slicing
