LEMON PEPPER CHICKEN

Ingredients

1.3 lb chicken breast thinly sliced

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

2 tbsp lemon pepper seasoning

Red pepper flakes to taste

Black pepper to taste

3/4 cup water

1 tsp better than chicken bouillon

2 garlic cloves minced

3 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp butter

1/2 lemon juice squeezed

Lemon zest to garnish


Preparation

  1. Add flour, lemon pepper seasoning, red pepper flakes and black pepper to a small plate and mix well.

  2. Coat chicken well with flour mixture on each side and set to the side. Set large pan to medium high heat and add olive oil. Once oil is hot, add coated chicken to pan and cook until fully cooked (about 6 - 8 minutes flipping halfway). Once cooked, remove from heat and set to the side

  3. Reduce heat to medium low heat adding butter and garlic. Stir constantly for 2 minutes (to avoid garlic burning) before whisking in water and better than chicken bouillon bringing to slight boil. Gently whisk the bottom of the pan until anything stuck to the bottom comes up. Add lemon juice and heat for about 3 - 4 minutes

  4. Return chicken to the pan and cover for about 6 minutes, flipping halfway over medium low heat until sauce thickens

  5. Move chicken to clean plate and top with lemon juice, lemon zest, and black pepper
