AIR FRYER CHICKEN PARMESAN

Ingredients
1.25 lb chicken breast sliced thin
1 cup fresh mozzarella shredded
1 1/2 cups (12 oz) tomato sauce
Heaping 1/4 cup all purpose flour
2 eggs beat
1 cup panko bread crumbs
1/4 cup parmesan cheese grated
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp dried parsley
Crushed red pepper flakes to taste
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Preparation
Place chicken breast on a cutting board and season both sides with salt and pepper. Place to the side *
Prepare three dipping stations - Bowl 1 with flour, salt to taste and pepper to taste (mix well). Bowl 2 with two eggs beat. Bowl 3 with panko bread crumbs, grated parmesan cheese, garlic powder, dried parsley and crushed red pepper flakes (mix well)
Once three dipping stations / bowls are prepared, evenly coat chicken breast with flour, egg and breadcrumb mixture (in this order!!!)
Line an air fryer basket with tin foil and arrange coated chicken breast evenly
Preheat air fryer to 400°. Once air fryer reaches 400°, cook chicken for 20 minutes (flipping halfway). After 20 minutes of cook time, add tomato sauce and fresh mozzarella to the top of your cooked chicken. Place back in the air fryer and broil until cheese is melted to liking (about 3-4 min) **
Remove from air fryer and top with parsley
*NOTE: If your chicken breast is not pre cut thin, please butterfly your chicken breast accordingly
** PLEASE watch your cheese to make sure it does not burn
